Parents last letter before Camp

Dear Parents and Campers:
We are really looking forward to camp this year. Monday March 10th to Friday March 14th, 2008 is going to be very exciting and filled with magical activities. We have a wonderful line up of guests. The campgrounds and food are all excellent at Lake St. George Conservation Field Centre.
It would be a good idea for you and your child to look over our “How to Prepare for Camp” http://www.sorcerers-safari.com/pdf/MB%20Registration%20Pkg%5B1%5D%202008.pdf. You should find this quite helpful. We have the opportunity to participate in some great outdoor activities. Make sure that you send your camper with outdoor wear: eg… snow pants, warm winter snow jacket, winter boots, hats, gloves and scarves.
Don’t forget to pack either a sleeping bag or comforter with sheets and pillow. Slippers are a great idea. Flashlight too.
Given the relatively short duration of our camp, there will be no visitors day or mail. However, should a parent need to contact a camper in the event of an emergency, call Magic Mike’s cell at 416-319-1442. We will also be checking our Toronto office line (416-322-1442) occasionally for messages on and off during the week. The campers are discouraged from using the pay phones once they are up at camp. We also ask that campers leave their cell phones at home.

All campers are to be dropped off and picked up
We ask that campers be dropped off no earlier than 10:00 am on Monday morning.
Last year we had a camper show that went over very well with the parents. We will be doing this again this year. This will begin on Friday at 2:00 pm. If you can’t make it to the show please let us know so we can talk to them about it. Please be sure to be there to pick up your campers by 3:00 pm.
A couple of campers from the Toronto area are looking for a drive to and from camp – if you are able to help out – please let me know so I can help co-ordinate rides.

Food and candy policy
We have quite a few campers with severe food allergies. They cannot be in the same room as the food that they are allergic to. Please make sure that you do not send food with peanuts in it.
