Hello to all the staff, instructors, counsellors, guests and of course the campers! I just wanted to thank you all for the priviledge of being a part of your SSS 10 experience and for being a part of mine. By my count there were over 120 of you so I can't name all of you, however there are a few who I would like to thank individually:

Magic Mike for the opportunity to come back and for his generousity of spirit and his free spirit
Jen for allowing Mike to be that way
Steve Kline for being just a cool guy, but also for being tough when it's needed.
Carey for loading us up on seconds and for all those photos!
Marc Hache for some great discussions and for that little extra on Wednesday night. BTW - everthing is cool on the homefront.
Craig and Janice for all of the help in my card class
Lee for some cool challanges, for giving me the absolute honour of seeing Michael Weber and Jason England perform (that show has changed my life FOREVER) and for, well, being Lee
Ray, Dick, Greg, Kristi, Brian & Mark & Deb for their candor
Aaron for helping me complete the deck signing. The deck went to best magician in my show, Cody for his bravery after having been stung by that bee!

And to all of you once again for the great experience. Next year I hope to have my wife along for the ride.

Hi, gang!
Well, that certainly was an INCREDIBLE week!  I certainly can't recount ALL of the things that happened, because it was pretty-well non-stop action & fun!

For me, there was so much first-class magic instruction, that I just couldn't keep up.  I was a student in the daily advanced card classes, and for the second year in a row, the class was basically about giving our magic some real meaning, about finding ways to express ourselves in our magic, and about finding a ways to connect with our audiences, all by looking at the ways we present our magic: subject matter, direct & implied communication, persona, etc.  It was also very much about learing how to evaluate the "directness" of our effects: In other words, is an effect clear and easy-to-understand, or is it confusing and convoluted?  This class is a MAJOR highlight for me.

I don't want to talk about EVERYTHING that happened at camp, because I'm sure lots of other people will have lots to say, but hats off to everyone who participated in the daily "splash competitions" down at the docks, because this particular project is especially near & dear to me (Please note the sentimental tears streaming down my face.).

Dan - GREAT to see you at dinner and actually get the opportunity to chat about the biz a bit -I would love to have you come see me produce a show in the States !
Peter - Thanks for all your help with the video -I need to be tough at times - I take what I do very passionately - maybe too passionately at times but I can't afford to do things lack luster !
I think we all need to stay in touch throughout the year to plan some fun things for next year !

like all the others, yet completely different.  all the special guests were

Hey guys!

I just wanted to say I too had an amazing year! I want to thank my cabin along with Amy, for making my first year as a CIT such an awesome experience. I think I speak for all the girls when I say that this year was totally different from any other year. However we all quickly adapted to the changes and it turned out to be such a good week (not that I ever doubted that!).

So yeah thank you to every single person who came to camp this year, because honestly some people don't realize how important each and every person is to the camp! Also thank you to my Mom and Dad (aka Magic Jen and Magic Mike) for putting everything they can into this camp. You guys couldn't even imagine how much work goes into one week of camp! One week of camp to us is one years work to them!

I hope everyone had as good a time as I did, and I look forward to seeing you all next year!
And maybe even March Break Camp!

Thanks everyone for having me up for the day! I had a blast meeting everyone!

It was a great pleasure to finally meet some of my good magic friends face to face for the first time such as Sean Fields, Sean Bogunia, Nathan Kranzo and anyone else I left out!

It was a great pleasure to finally meet alot of new faces and talent, and ofcourse all you awesome campers!

Lyndsy really wished she could have been there but as some of you may know we just had our first son together and unfortunately we haven't been performing for over a year now,  so it was nice to be able to come and perform for everyone and nice to get on a stage again even if I was a little rusty...  !

 And also thanks to AMY for taking the time to help me with the illusion! She was great, we only had about 15 minutes to work with each other and she did an amazing job, thanks AMY! Although, Lyndsy said I was "Magic Cheating" on her... whatever that means!

Camp was great, Mike and Jen should be congratulated! Thanks to all the Councellors and everyone that makes this camp a reality!

Looking forward to visiting again!

I would just like to say "MONGOOSE" 

No really you can not belive what an amazing time I had and I know without my scholarship from "SAM" and Mike I would never have meet you all.

I am so grateful to everyone starting with, 

 Mike and Jen for letting me come to camp,

Mandy Davis at Young Magicians Club London,

The Thacthers, Scotty-Do for putting up with me and Seb. Sue, Scott's Mum for meeting us at airport, showing us the sights and letting us stay at there house before and after camp and taking me back to airport. Thanks for taking us to EX festival.  Scott you are such a FUN guy!

Hello all:

I just wanted to thank everyone (especially Mike and Jennifer) for having me up for the day. It was a blast! I'm sorry that I couldn't stay overnight or even longer, but I hope to perhaps next year. I also want to give a big kudos and congrats to the staff who worked so hard to make this camp so special and "magical" for the kids. 'Good on ya!

I was blown away by what the camp has to offer. There is so much to do, and what a fabulous way for the campers (and staff) to experience a week of pure magic! It was so great to meet so many people, and also meet those whom I've only ever spoken to on the phone/email:  Sean Fields, Scotty Hammell and Nathan Kranzo are some of those that come to mind right now.

I also had a fun time performing for the camp, and hope everyone enjoyed the show. While I was only able to demonstrate my "Divine Time" on stage, I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to give more of you a "live" demonstration of “Third Degree Burn” (where did the day go?). Speaking of the show, I must give a HUGE thank you to Adam Cooke! My friend, you were incredible backstage. So helpful, very professional, and there wasn't anything that you didn't do to help; thank you so much!

Anyhow, everyone should be congratulated for 10 years of excellence. I look forward to visiting again!

Hey Everyone!

I just wanted to pop in and say Hi!

Thank you ALL for the best week of my life!

It was simply outstanding to see the level of talent the campers had, some of my Cabin 6 crew floored me with their ability.

It was amazing to hang out with Lee, Steve, Aaron, Nathan, Sean, Jason, Jason, Tyler, Morgan, and everybody else.

It was great to finally meet some friends who I never had the oppurtunity to meet face to face, such as Peter Loughran, Jason Palter, Nathan Kranzo, and Lee Asher to name but a few.  And it was even better to have made so many new friends, EVEN YOU KLINE!  ;-P

I really have to thank Kristin, she kept me from wandering off into the forest and being lost forever.  I am a city boy, as soon as the sun went down in camp, I was about as useful as a blonde in a horror movie!  At least, that is what it felt like when that wierd dude in the mask followed me back to my cabin...

Mike and Jen, thank you so much for inviting me, and if you will have it, I will be back next year!

Thanks again everyone, even those who I didn't mention, you know who you are...

I don't know where to start; I have so many wonderful memories of this years camp and all the people that attended.

Thank you so much Mike and Jen for having me up again. I loved every minute of teaching and interacting with the campers; all of whom are wickedly talented and inspiring.

Thanks so much to all the magicians and staff I had the pleasure to meet and share magic with; I'm always amazed at how giving everyone is at camp.

I miss all of you already. Hopefully, through this forum, we can all keep in touch throughout the year.

One word best describes camp for me......................MAGIC!

The most amazing summer yet by far!! That's all I can say. Camp is truly my home away from home and thank you to all the people who make that possible...first and foremost Mike and Jen. You are unbelievable!!...all the counsellors, performers and instructors, you teach us all so much and keep us enjoying the week. And all the campers; newbies and veterans...made so many new memories this year and I miss and  LUV YOU ALL to bits!...don't forget to keep in touch!...countin the days till next year!  Keep up the magic!..cuz we all know that I'm not very successful at that! haha!
