Volunteers for a Terry Fox Run in Etobicoke

Hello Everyone,

I received this email regarding volunteers for a Terry Fox Run in Etobicoke. Please contact Sheila Sprenger directly if you are interested.

The event is the Terry Fox Run at West Deane Park in Etobicoke (Martin Grove Rd. north of Rathburn). It will be held on Sun. Sept. 17th from 9am to 1pm. Even a couple of hours would be appreciated. Rogers Cable will be there, and I will have all the names of our supporters, including performers, listed on a board for all to see. I will also be having articles in the Etobicoke Guardian where I will try to have any performers' name listed as part of our events/entertainment.

I know that it is difficult to ask people to donate their time for free, but I'm really hoping that someone will consider how they are making a difference. The reason I can't pay any performers is because 90 cents of every dollar raised through the Terry Fox Run goes to fund cancer research...and I would bet that almost everyone has been touched by cancer in some way or another, whether personally or through a loved one.
