Hello everyone,

My name is Josh Miller and I live in Cambridge England.

I am 15 years old and I belong to The Young Magicians' Club at The Magic Circle in London and I have been given the chance to come over to your summer camp this August.  Cheesy

I am very excited and would love to talk and get to know some of you before the camp starts.

I do stage magic and childrens parties, I have been doing magic for about 4 years, but we do not have camps like this in England.

Please tell me more about camp and what things we will do.  Smiley

Hi Steven,

Good to hear from you, Where do you come from?

How many times have you been going to the camp?

Are you going this year?

I have been given a DVD of the camp and it looks amazing!

Hello Josh!
I was CIT at last years camp, it was my first year. I had an amazing time there. Everyone was so nice and welcoming it didn't take me long to get settled and comfortable around everybody... actually it happened within just a few hours. During the day you can expect to learn a lot about magic at card class and at one of the electives you have chosen. After learning you get some time to enjoy the sun and play games with the other campers. Then at night you get watch a lot of talented magicians perform which is very exciting. That is basically how a day goes at camp but there is a ton that I am leaving out. Trust me you will have an amazing time I only wish I could come back for a second year!

Hi Josh,

Glad to hear that your coming to camp; you'll have a great time.

I'm an instructor at the camp, and I can tell you from experience that you will learn all kinds of magic; both in the classes and out.  There's always some group going over cards, coins, rings, juggling, cups and balls, rope, sponge balls...you name it, it's there.  Tons of non-magic activities to do as well.  There's only one bad part about camp and that's leaving to go home...always the hardest part for me.

Looking forward to meeting you Josh.

Best,
Brian R.

Hi Brian,

It good to hear from other people who have been to camp to see what they have done and what they enjoyed. I know that I am going to love it. It's great mixing and learning with people who are all into MAGIC!

Hi everyone,

I was just wondering how much money I need to take to camp?

I have been given some US dollars as a gift to take to camp, do you take them in Canada?

Is there a like tuck shop or a shop where we can buy magic?

I have read there is a dealers day where we can buy things.

Thanks for all you help.

Hi there Josh,
Jen here.  Mike and I are thrilled to have you join us.  You will find that this camp is like no other.  But from reading all of the other replies that you have received from performers, instructors and cit's - I'm sure you can tell that!
We do have a 'Dealer's Day'.  This gives campers (and staff) a chance to purchase anything that our Special Guests have brought that is for sale.
We do not have a tuck shop.  You can bring Canadian or Us dollars, that is up to you.  (Just don't bring too much, and put it in an envelope with your name on it to give to your counsellor for safe keeping until 'Dealer's Day'.)
You are going to have an experience like never before!!
See you soon!

Hi Jen,

Thanks for the info.

Can not wait to meet you and Mike and to be part of your Summer camp.

It is such a great idea for kids to get together for a week to learn and share Magic.

Hope we have one in England soon!   Cheesy

Josh,

I am sure you will love camp! By the way, my name is Michael Kras, and I look forward to meeting everyone in August. Just so you know who I am, I will be on the bus to camp along with many others. I have blond, curly hair and I will be carrying a silver metal case. This case holds my entire magic repetoire! I have been doing magic for 6 years, and I have been doing magic professionally for 3 years! By the way, is anyone here a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians? If not, visit the website at www.magician.org to sign up! We are very open to welcoming newcomers! When you get to the site, find the link that says "see all ring websites on one page" and when you get there, find an IBM ring that is close to you! There are hundreds of rings out there

Hey Josh,

My name is Brad, i've been attending the camp since the very beginning.  I think I was 12 or 13 when I started going and I am 21 this year.  Let me tell you that you are in for a great experience, meeting some great names in magic and developing life long friendships.  From my experience the camp is better every year, so you will be here for the best year yet.

Look forward to meeting you.

Cheers.
